Thulimbah State School is a small, inclusive rural school on the outskirts of Stanthorpe, committed to the holistic development of every student. We pride ourselves on delivering progressive, future-focused learning programs that draw on staff expertise, regional partnerships, and personalised approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
Our multi-age learning environment (Prep to Year 6) provides rich opportunities for collaboration, leadership and tailored learning. Strong, positive relationships between staff and students support growth both within and beyond the classroom.
We value student growth and achievement across academic, social, emotional and physical domains. A strong culture of respect underpins our school, and we work closely with families to ensure every student is supported to thrive.
Teaching and learning at Thulimbah State School aligns with the Australian Curriculum and Queensland Department of Education standards. Students at Thulimbah State School also have the opportunity to learn Japanese, with our school proud to offer this language program as a unique feature within our local area. Our instrumental music program is available to students year 4 and above.
We maximise student engagement through contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogies and meaningful, real-world learning experiences.
Staff and students work collaboratively in our school market garden, fostering hands-on learning, teamwork and a connection to community.
Technology is embedded across all learning areas, enhancing creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. Our students develop the skills and confidence to navigate an increasingly digital world, preparing them to be capable, connected and active lifelong learners.
