Our school

Thulimbah State School has a reputation as a caring community where each student’s individual needs are met. We are a small school located in a rural setting 15 kkilometres north of Stanthorpe and 50 kilometres south of Warwick. Our school caters for students from Prep to Year 6 in 2 multi-age classrooms P-2 and 3-6. Thulimbah State School aims to provide a learning environment that enables each child to grow socially, emotionally, physically and academically. Standards of behaviour and attendance levels are high. We value creative thinking, active investigating and responsible learners who effectively communicate. Our beliefs are that everyone can learn and that the best learning environment is one where everyone feels safe and respected and are actively involved.

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Thulimbah State School, a school where the learning needs of every child are catered for to ensure they are successful in their learning. Our two small classes are nurturing and supportive environments, catering to individual learning requirements through differentiated curriculum. We have a strong culture that promotes learning and the ideal of being a lifelong learner.  An integral part of this culture is the partnerships formed with our parent and wider community groups. Evidence based practice informs the direction of teaching and learning for every student and our school-wide programs in literacy and numeracy. Continuous data analysis ensures we have a sharp focus on where students can improve and the pedagogical practices required to effectively support student improvement. We understand the importance of a holistic approach to education by incorporating academic approaches together with sporting, artistic, cultural, social and emotional aspects of our curriculum. We’re very proud of our great small school community and our students’ achievements each and every day. We welcome new student enrolments at any time, so why not come and see what Thulimbah has to offer?
